Après la sortie de l'album "The Tension And The Spark" en septembre dernier, Le 3ème album solo de Darren est déjà en préparation puisqu'il à déjà écrit la moitié des chansons de son futur album! L'album "TTATS" a reçu tellement de critiques positives, du coup, darren s'est mis à l'écriture de nouvelles chansons.

Pour son prochain album, Darren a annoncé que celui-ci serait dans un style musical complètement différent, mais qu'il ne savait pas encore de quelle manière :

[...my last album got so much wonderful positive critical feedback and showed me the other side of what my career had always been missing : Bravery and regardless of commercial success. I'm still so proud of "The Tension And The Spark" and of your support of that album. Now I'm wanting to do something challenging in a completely different way. I wonder what I'll come up with! You'll have to wait and see. But just know I've been loving the process. I've got so much to say... and I'm putting it all into song...]


...et bien il y a plus qu'a patienter jusqu'en 2006 pour découvrir le new album!!! ;))

Darren hayes (...ainsi que d'autres artistes) a participé au projet "Artists Against AIDS Worldwide" organisé par Bono (U2) dont le single "What's going on" (reprise de marvin Gaye) est sortit le
1er décembre 2001.

Le single regroupe de très nombreux artistes planétaires tels que NSYNC, Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, Darren Hayes (chanteur des Savage Garden), Alicia Keys, Nelly, Nona Gaye, Wyclef Jean, Christina Aguilera, Moby, Gwen Stefani, Backstreet Boys, Lil' Kim, Mary J.Blige, Eve, Nas, Adam Clayton et Michael Stipe (R.E.M).
