Les Savage Garden ont remportés en 2000, le APRA AWARD de la "Meilleure performance australienne à l'étranger ",

ainsi que le ASCAP AWARD de la "Chanson la plus diffusée sur les radios américaines ".

Ces deux awards étaient pour leur chanson
"I Knew I Loved You".

DARREN HAYES était présent à la cérémonie et à chanté le titre "I Knew I Loved You" en version acoustique avec le producteur Walter Afanasieff.

DANIEL JONES était également présent avec sa fiancée Kathleen DeLeon. Il a reçu aussi son ASCAP Award dans la nuit.

" LIVE 8 "

Darren va co-présenter le pré-concert du
"live 8" en Australie et cela sera diffusé sur le cable (sur Channel Fox 8). Le pré-concert sera retransmit à Londres (Hyde Park) en direct d'Australie le 2 juillet de 12h30 à 14h00 (heures de Londres).
Le concert "LIVE 8" commencera réellement à 14h00 et sera présent dans 5 villes dans le monde.

...Darren will co-hosting the LIVE 8 'Pre-Show' with Molly Meldrum to be broadcast in Australia on cable television channel Fox 8. Darren will be appearing about half way through the broadcast and will chat during two links. The show will be telecast live in Australia from London's Hyde Park on July 2 from 9.30pm to 11.00pm (12.30pm to 2.00pm London Time) from the Media stage near the main stage.
The Live 8 Concert is due to start at 11.00pm (2.00pm London Time) and will span 11 hours from five cities and include over 70 international recording artist...
